I drag it over then drop it into the laptop folder and get a "file is in
use" message. I tried running zip on the laptop and zipping up the
PDF's onto a zipfile on the laptop and got a 'cannot open' message for
each file.

I can zip 'em up on the desktop then drag and drop the zipfile from the
desktop to the laptop (from the laptop's Powerdesk file manager). I can
drag and drop any other filetype while on the laptop from the desktop to
the laptop through the network...so it's probably NOT permissions, right?

I was just asking on the off chance that someone else has run into this
problem.
