It isn't anyone's business what I have or have not done. My only child is 30 years old. He was born when I was barely 19 years old. If I were going to have had an abortion, that would have been the time to do it and I did not. It is each person's individual choice. I agonized over that choice, and it impacted many of the things that happened for the rest of my life. Abortions tend not to have the same impact that raising a child born when you are a teenager does. Knowing what I know now I just can't take a hard stance against a woman that makes a different choice in the same circumstances I faced, much less a harsher circumstance. Madigan is just glib. He makes pronouncements about what OTHER people should do without regard to their life circumstances because he does not care about them. He places higher priority on a glob of undifferentiated cellular material than on an adult female because he does not care about that adult female. She is a receptacle, a conduit, and therefore unimportant. Why should any of us care what he thinks? Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Madigan should just shut up and put his stones down, but we know that's not going to happen.
