Ok. I knew about the range going from 0 to 2n+1 rather than -n to n. I wondered about the performance...its probably negligible if any difference at all. In Comp Sci land, it's just doesn't have to worry about doing the 2's complement to get the negative value....but again, probably doesn't even show up on the radar of performance. <g> Thanks, Ed. -- Michael J.
