There have already been grumblings in congress about whether the Bush Administration has started trying to make a case for war against Iran. The evidence that Iran is involved with anti American Military element in Iraq will be much better scrutinized this time around, after the fiasco that result from all the WMD claims. Never-the-less, I'm sure you are correct in thinking the Bush Administration would like nothing better than another perfect storm to come along, having the same effect as 9/11, that could be used to manipulate the country back in the direction of war.
I don't underestimate President Bush's or the Bush Administration's appetite for power through war, and I hope the country as a whole doesn't either. Sometimes I feel like President Bush and the Bush Administration would go to any length to maintain power.
