See the help file for the "build method". There is a flag for not
regenerating the ids.

Subject: building-- how to tell it NOT to regenerate component ID's

Hello. Our build machine here uses a build script/wizard that issues
BUILD EXE and BUILD MTDLL commands to build projects. The build
machine's registry, however, keeps bloating due to VFP re-generating
component ID's(prog id/clsid stuff for COM objects) every time. This
is obviously a problem, as Windows slows down as the registry gets
larger and larger.

Is there any way to get VFP to stop RE-generating these ID's? I just
want it to use the ones already in the registry... When building thru
the GUI, there's a checkbox for "regenerate component ID's", but I
don't see the equivalent in the BUILD * commands. Thanks.
