I just checked the most recent version to check(I have 10.2 running), and Process Explorer does not yet replace filemon or regmon. Both filemon and regmon monitor changes in real time and display system-wide file or registry reads/writes. Process Explorer doesn't do that. Process explorer shows you everything you could possibly want to know about a process, but doesn't record/log anything other than cpu/memory usage for that process, and it won't show you registry/file read/writes at all(it'll just show you the files it has open)...
