Just ran into this and thought I'd pass it on. I've been testing some
code for importing data from another VFP based system in to my app's
data structures. It's something over 100K rows in various tables to
import and I have a number of scan loops in the code with debugout
statements littered hither and yon. I thought I was finally getting to
the point where I could run this on the real data when I hit an error
indicating that a temp file was too large. I poked around a bit at some
browse windows as I wanted to see where I was in the data and noticed
that the column headers in the browse has no captions. Then I put forth
the theory that the temp file error was related to the debugger output
window so I right-clicked on the output window in the debugger and
selected clear. Moments later, VFP crashed with an internal consistency
error. After it finished dying, I went back in to go back to work. I
opened up a project and none of the buttons had captions. I turned off
the resource file but that didn't fix it. I ultimately ended up
rebooting my system before everything began to display properly again.
So now I'm going to make sure that I clear the output window regularly
if I happen to be sending a lot of stuff to it.
