Ideally, you have a clean copy of the OS originally installed, or a "rescue partition" or Ghost image you can restore the disk to pristine condition with. (Make sure you have bootable media to do the restore with!) If not, I would strongly discourage sharing the disk, as many poorly-behaved programs hide information in easily cracked formats. I pretty much use my disks til they wear out, then drill a dozen holes through them. Use Knoppix Hack #49: boot Knoppix (free!) and run 'shred' to scrub the disk clean. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
