We were duped and manipulated into that war, and now it's 4 years later and we're STILL being duped and manipulated.
I love America, always have, but I loathe and disdain what has happened to our government. We were brought up to believe America's government is of/by/for the people, but all I see is a government and information system that's controlled and dominated by special interests. Two of those interests, Big Oil and the MI Complex, have gotten filthy rich and far more powerful then ever before; and the other, the 'soldiers of Israel', who provided the arguments and the programming, have accomplishing nothing but to drag their beloved to the edge of the abyss - with America right behind it. These people are extremely clever, but totally unwise; rich with money, but utterly misguided in principle. Their actions aren't even rooted in the religion they claim to follow (consider "thou shalt not kill"); it's really all about money and power, hiding behind the omnipotent "anti-semite" shield that keeps all critics at bay. Little people can't take on any of these powers-that-be. We can shout from the top of every roof - and the next day it's all back to business as usual. In the face of all this power, why should anyone bother anymore? Because it's not over. Because we're a train headed for a wreck. While the handful of barons that wield editorial control over our information supply have been working overtime to pump us up with "issues" that dilute and distort the relative importance of things, the gang in charge comes up with plot after plot in one vain effort after the other to hide themselves from the reality of the monumental disgrace and state of peril they've wrought on this nation. They've plundered our children, reined destruction and sowed hatred for us - the likes of which we've never known before - and the end is nowhere in sight. They convinced people to buy their bullshit in the beginning, but now, despite a clear majority having turned against them, all we get is talk - and nothing changes. We must come to terms and realize that we're ongoing victims of psychological warfare. If I were a cartoonist, I'd draw two characters to illustrate this: Puff 'n Bury. While Puff is busy making mountains out of molehills and stirring tempests in teapots, Bury is seeing to it that what's really important is twisted and distorted into unrecognizable blobs. Examples? Watch Puff on the military and our undying support for Israel, and then watch Bury's work with the concepts of freedom, democracy, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That's just for openers. That we desperately need a real solution to repair the damage that gang has done is an imperative. We're up to the part now where we either do something in time to salvage this country - or we can do nothing and wait until their arrogant belligerence makes things worse, not the least of which can be another attack here, and then we can react out of fear and make a terrible situation the utter disaster their plot begs to become. Obama became real popular overnight, because people wanted to believe that he's really different. He's not. He's just another sell-out. Search for yourself to see. The word 'impeachment' has been worn out, and even if used would only result in another non-choice between different puppets. The solution we need is to: 1. Put the perps of that invasion on trial for the world to see 2. Apologize to everyone that's been harmed by their action (and our inaction) and set about doing everything we can to make amends 3. Remove money from politics and transfer power to a real democracy We're never going to see the end of terrorism. Human nature is ruled by Yin/Yang, the opposites. Whenever one rises to challenge, the other will rise to respond. These rises and responses are now being called terrorism by one side or the other, but it's really the same behavior that has characterized the history of mankind. The only thing that's really different now is the weapons have become too powerful and too readily available. What we can do is work real hard to put the weapons away and harness the energy of the opposites for the sake of progress. There's any number of things that should be capturing our imagination, and not a one of them is war.
