Stephen the Cook (talking about 'disconnected edit' in DTS) said
>Edit the string "value" ... "Excel 8.0;HDR=YES;IMEX=1"

that's interesting 'cos my cursoradapter solution uses:
loConnDataSource.ConnectionString = [Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data
Source=C:\VISUAL FOXPRO PROJECTS\MYPROJ] + ;
      [\DOCS\MYDATABASE.XLS;Extended Properties="Excel
8.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=0";]

I must have got it from somewhere, but had no idea what 'Extended
Properties' was all about <s>
(I have looked at disconnected edit in the past but once I discovered it
was vba I put it away and went to the pub <bg>)
