Sorry, I forgot to include the website address: http://www.smartusa.com. 1. All gasoline. 2. 40 plus MPG according to the FAQ. 3. Sure, from the website: "The smart fortwo is designed with two crash boxes. The front box, sitting in front of the tridion safety cell is reinforced with transverse members and slip tubes that crumple in an accident. For parking lot bumps, an impact of less than 2 miles an hour won't affect the crash box at all. Up to 10 miles per hour, the slip tubes move to keep impact away from the tridion safety cell. Over 10 miles an hour the tridion safety cell transmits impact over its entire surface to dissipate energy and protect its occupants. At the rear of the car the rear crash box is built of aluminum, which crumples much like the front slip tubes do. Fuel supply is stopped in the event of a crash and the central locking system is automatically unlocked." There are also 4 airbags plus other safety features. David L.
