So far the bank has turned us down for an increase. The contractor still is not working and not returning calls. The turn-down is due to our credit cards being maxed out because we used them to pay for stuff on the house and expected reimbursement, which then did not happen because the contractor shut down the project. Life can get complicated sometimes. We're checking our options, but we do NOT want to go to a hard money (private) lender. We'd rather tough it out if there's another way.
