As for the compiler, running on other platforms PDA's, Linux etc etc without
licensing issues.

I am using the extender to save me writing a interop layer between vfp 
and a .Net application (in this case Sage MMS or 200 or whatever it is 
called this week).   You can also use it to add .NET controls to your apps.

The compiler (in theory) will allow a vfp app to run as a .Net 
application, better compatability, faster etc.
