Probably not. With 100 million downloads, someone else has it misconfigured.

I have several copies that have been running for weeks. None of them
on XP, though.

That could be part of the problem. Ensure they're all up to date. Try
turning them all off and see if the problem goes away, then add them
back in one at a time to see if you can identify the unstable one.
