I'd have said VFP6, not VFP5!  I would wager that releasing VFP6 for 
free would also help drive later versions of VFP (7-9) sales as well, 
since those versions had great developer enhancements added to them.  
Give them the sizzle with VFP6 (free), and many will gladly pay for an 
upgrade once they see what VFP can actually do for them!
