Just because MS open sources the product, wouldn't mean that they'd
maintain even a majority of their VFP developers. In fact, many VFP
developers have already been 'lost' over the past few years-- many
here to Linux and open source, but others to .NET(not a loss to MS)
and some other tools. Many others are retiring one way or another.

As much as I'd love the VFP source to get in their and fix the bugs I
experience, I can't see any motivation on MS's count, and I'd wager
money that they will never open source the core VFP code.

I'm sure many other product communities/bases think they're the most
passionate base as well-- VB6 users come to mind... Probably a larger
group, too...
