I just have this feeling that people aren't listening. <s> People 
contribute to open source projects for all sorts of reasons. Some have 
day jobs whose definition is that open source project, for sure, but 
plenty of others have day jobs that do other things, and open source is 
their 'non-day-job'.

So why would someone spend their time on something that they don't get 
paid for?

Anyone who has to ask this seriously needs to get out and look around 
the world a bit more. Me, I'm going to sign off. I've got a full night 
of stuff to do.... working on the Boy Scout campout in a couple of 
weeks, arranging the schedule for the spring soccer league my daughter 
is in, sketch out an article on using Firefox on multiple computers but 
with a single profile, pull together the reservation list for the local 
high school's forensics team's annual banquet, and install a new build 
of Fedora and report on what I can break.

Yes, I'm gonna be rich by the time tonight is over.
