I don't know how much I can say about what I saw because some of it may be
in use today - even though the operating system is no longer supported.  ;^)
But if you saw the movie Apollo 13 where all of the ground crew were sitting
around terminals, my brother in law was "in charge" of a room like that for
unmanned space flights.  It was in Southern California in the mid to late
60's.
