Yes, and if everybody else did the same, we could reduce pollution to the planet by 80%. That would be a good start. > >> After all, what is wrong with switching off fossil fuel to >> alternatives like wind, sun, biofuel, and thermal energy? Capitalism, and most other form of government, are driven by the profit motive, which requires industry to be as cost efficient as possible. We need to make stewardship to the planet a higher priority, so that it is not discarded in a quest for greater profit. > > > >> You see, even if man's irresponsible behavior in polluting the planet >> is not responsible for global warming, why not pass laws that require >> good stewardship of the planet's environment. The UN has the power to punish countries that do not conform to environmental standards, but the UN will need support in this effort form the majority of countries around the world, especially the super powers. Ever country should be educated about the importance of being environmentally friendly, so concerns for the planet's environment is given greater priority. A global environmental policy could then be developed by the UN with violator of the policy punished. Regards, LelandJ > I have to say that mankind is to stupid to deal with this problem.
