The reference to the activS COM (sic) was really a reference to activeS COM. However the link is broken (404). After further research, I found the Skype4COM COM wrapper which appears to be an updated version of activeS COM. It's available at https://developer.skype.com/Download I'll play around with the VFP code from the article and the downloaded Skype4COM API. The API appears to have the ingredients that I need.
