There you go again Pete, accusing anyone that does not share your view
and opinion regarding the war in Iraq of begin a traitor. I am
apprehensive about anyone, or any government, that uses fear tactics to
silence its people from asking questions or seeking the TRUTH. The
current US mission in Iraq is not really a war. The unnecessary war in
Iraq ended a long time ago. The current US mission in Iraq is to stop
the civil war, stabilize Iraq enough so the US backed government can
succeed. So, the current US mission in Iraq is not war. The current
mission in Iraq is more along the lines of nation building through
regime change in Iraq.

Is the war on terrorism really a war? In war a clear enemy, like a
country or opposing army, has to be identified. I can see declaring a
war on another country, but how do you declare a war on terrorism, when
the term terrorism has not be defined and the "Terrorist" have not been
clearly identified?

So, who is the enemy in the war on terror? Is it the Sunni, the Shiite,
the Death Squads, Al Qaeda, the insurgent, the extreme religious right,
the KKK, the Communist, the Socialist, Bill Arnold, or anyone else the
Bush Administration sees as threat. there is no way to identify "The
Terrorist" as an enemy army or country against which the US can declare
war, since terrorism and "The Terrorist" have not been defined. Terror,
Terrorist, and Terrorism is spread around the globe and come in every
color and favor imaginable.

Why do we have our military involved in fighting terrorism? It would be
much more efficient to wage the war on terrorism as a police matter, and
we could eliminate all the lies, confusion, mistaken deaths from
misidentifying targets, collateral damage, and destruction of private
and public property that is currently taken place in the war on terrorism.

The Bush Administration declared "WAR" on Terror", because it could then
throw out all rule of laws and rules of decency.

When will sanity return?

Regards,

LelandJ
