My kids are on virgin (they have to buy their own minutes out of their allowance) and I'm considering switching over when my current contract expires. For a low volume user VM prepay is probably your cheapest alternative; as long as you buy the $20 worth of minutes every 90 days your unused minutes will roll over. They use the Sprint network, so the coverage is as good or bad as Sprint's is for your area. Here in Colorado, the urban areas are well covered but the rural coverage isn't anywhere near as good as Verizon's. The phones are pretty cheap, I saw a $10 one at Radio Shack, but the selection is fairly limited and there's no bluetooth or fancy smartphones. If you use your phone enough to want these features the prepay probably wouldn't be economical anyway. dt -- Dave Thayer Denver, CO _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
