If you missed the Bill Moyers show last night, it will be repeated on
PBS (channel 13 here) this week. If you have any sense at all of caring
about what happened - and far more importantly, if you appreciate what
happened as prelude to what is yet to come, I urge you to watch it and
to think about it.

The mass media pump-up for the invasion of the ME was larger and more
pervasive then I experienced or realized. I didn't know, for one
example, that Oprah was selling the invasion to her millions of fans. I
had known about the Donohue firing, but not the details as he himself
describes it on this show.

And so on. Moyers puts the case, the facts/stats/evidence that this
country was massively duped on the table for anyone to see. One of his
guests mentions, with a sense of awe, just how "clever" the perps were
about it.

Right up front, he identifies the neocon gang as the perps behind the
curtain, but the show is focused on the media's role, not the gang
itself, but there's no doubt that the road he's on ends at neocon
central.

This story is about what happened, but unless you're in a hole somewhere
or have your eyes and ears taped, you'll appreciate that it's not over.
Some names have changed, but the forces behind the invasion are still
there. The NY Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, Fox
News, etc. haven't lost an iota of power, and to this day continue to
lead this country on a march to our ruin for their cause.

A part of me thinks that it's too late now, that the forces that gang
have set in motion cannot be stopped, but the stronger part refuses to
accept that fate. I trust, because I must, that the true spirit of the
American and British people has yet to rise, but that it will happen,
because it must.

Please watch this show.

Bill
