Howdy all, I'm wondering how people would purpose to get - read, "process" - files that are written* to a directory over a set period in VFP 9 SP1.
I would have thought that ADIR() would be sufficient but perhaps someone else has a better idea. My biggest concerns are to make sure that I'm not trying to read\process a file that is being written to. ADIR() seems to return the files in date order, so I thought I could always process the number of files returned - 1. My process will write a finished file, i.e. Closed.txt, when it's done writting the files. I can't wait though for that file and process the files all at once - I need to process as many files as possible as soon as they appear in the directory. I would have thought separate files would be better but I can append the files into one, single log file and process that as it grows if it makes a difference Cheers, Garry * - The files are written by a Python program. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
