No; Microsoft's plan for the open source scripting languages is probably 
more like what happened to Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, and Dbase, etc.  
Microsoft's Java killer is Dot Net, and they are still working very hard 
on taking Java out with it.  It has gotton so serious that Sun, who also 
provided propietary hardward just like Apple, took Java open source.  
Sun has taken its Solaris OS open source.
