Read my article on how to make invoices with grids (UtMag.com, October 2002):
http://www.utmag.com/ViewPageArticle.aspx?Session=3267524A4B4D34533062303D2048694B6E697744713144736C6831746F6A466B594B413D3D In there I explain how to use a grid as a data entry (in this case to make invoices) and how to add one record when you hit the enter key. When you make an invoice you enter the item to sell, the quantity and the unit price (if you do not use the standard price from the price list) The grid then extends the line (quantity times price) and places the total in the last column. When you hit enter, a new blank record is added to the underlying cursor and the first column gets focus on that new record, to let the user enter a new item code and so on. I use the keypress event with a code of 13 (enter) and a combination of keyboard {dnarrow} and go bottom. You can use the technique described in the article to use grids as data entry screens for many situations. Hope it helps Rafael Copquin ----- Original Message ----- From: Derek Kalweit To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, May 04, 2007 5:49 PM Subject: hitting enter to advance record in a grid? Hello. Has anyone figured out a way to advance the highlight/record in a grid by hitting enter in a cell somehow? We have a data entry/inventory screen we'd like this to work with. I've tried doing skips in the keypress of the textbox and the grid and that doesn't seem to work... Thoughts?
