Actually, there is a reason to switch to Linux on the desktop environment, to be
less prone to viruses, malware, spyware, blue screens of death, weird quirks
that Microsoft can't or wont work out, free or really cheap... People just don't
understand that there is another alternative to Windows, but they are not shown
that. What needs to happen is Linux needs to do some advertising on TV,
internet, maybe radio, etc that there is an alternative just like Mac did with
advertising to show that Mac is available. People don't switch to Linux because
they don't know that Linux is out there and available and a viable solution.

OS.

For Linux desktop to thrive, there's going to have to
