I don't think that their interests match those that Bush has painted
for them. They don't care about "Iraq"; they care about their own
people, whether they by Sunni, Shia or Kurd. We've set up a false
goal, and now are acting surprised that they haven't bought into it.

When all else fails, vote against the incumbent. Instead of whining
about term limits, create your own! Many people are surprised at how
many times I've voted for Republicans or third party candidates; I
guess they like to think that I am the type to march in lockstep with
what they perceive to be my political agenda. But if the incumbent
hasn't done the job they were supposed to, it's in my interest to
vote them out. Even if the guy who replaces him/her is not ideal,
it's better than rewarding poor performance.
