If you were able to find out the statistics, you might be surprised. Most criminals have little or no experience with firearms and their ability to hit anything, aiming or not, isn't very good. Personally, I'll take my chances that I can draw, aim and fire before 99.9% of the criminals out there can hit me and if they do, well at least I didn't go meekly into that good night.
