Hullo Mr. R -

The yahoo group at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/nycfoxsig/
is an 'interim' site until the UG gets permanent webspace.

Things have changed up a bit since you were last on a yahoo group.
There is now an option to NOT receive any email, but instead to log in
to the web site and read or post messages SOLELY in the yahoo group.

You might get a few notices automatically from yahoo, from the group,
or from the moderator, but one thing that is totally different from the
other groups out there on yahoo - IT'S TOTALLY MODERATED.

I started with it TOTALLY MODERATED to keep out auto-posters, advertising
bots that have nothing to do with VFP, and the auto-generated-porn notices
that seem to proliferate on the majority of yahoo groups - usually the
moderator did not 'lock the group' down in the same fashion that I did.

Do you have to join to 'get' the notices sent out to you via email?
Absolutely.

Do you have to join to SEE the messages or to SEE the notices - Absolutely
NOT - if and only if you decide to keep reviewing the main page at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/nycfoxsig/
as the major updates will be posted on the main page, for any one to see.

It's totally up to you what you decide to do about joining. If you decide
that webspace is not for you, unjoing is quite easy - just a few clicks
and yer done.

On another note - if you have an RSS reader - you can point it to
http://rss.groups.yahoo.com/group/nycfoxsig/rss
and not have to do anything 'joining' the group to SEE the latest updates
about the meetings.

But - hey ! In the meantime - would LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE for the first
meeting !!!

Warmest Regards [Bill]
