If people would just do *something*, a hundred million "somethings" would be enough to shake this country out of the trance it's in.
The flip side, if we 'stay the course' and continue to do nothing to stop them, then the sequence of events now in motion will continue until one day it mutates into a chain reaction with lightning speed, and then we can observe a real "before and after" remembrance.
