Yes, get error in VFP7, but you can get it to work with: Select All ; LEFT(CMonth(Test.Date),3)+STR(Year(Test.Date),4) as Sort_Key, ; Sum(Test.nValue) as Column_Value ; From Test ; group by 1 ; Into Cursor curAll ; Order By 1 Presumably you just want to group by month/year.
