Thanks Justin and all...

At least at first glance the PPT8800 is exactly what I had in mind.... 
have it's built in browser (assuming IE) default page connect up to our 
network, run some php on the server in the browser, do some scanning and 
math and I be set....

This could be good... thanks again!
