The catch with the free VMware Player is you need a purchased copy of 
VMware workstation to first create the virtual machines.  Once the 
virtual machines are created, they can be distributed allowing any user 
the run them.

The GSX Server is free, but I haven't had time to do anything with it.  
Besides, running multiple servers with different OS(s) is more than I 
want to get into right now.  As far as servers are concerned, I would 
like to standardize on Linux in perhaps two flavors.
