Hi Matthew! Not M$. A few years ago we (a charity I am active in) bought an OEM Windows 95 CD and asked permission to use it on a few old boxes for alternative health research. It would have cost about $1 for them to say yes, they spent hundreds trying to explain why they "would be breaking the law" to do that and offering us a "deal" that would have cost us $40,000! Checked out the "breaking the law" claim with my congressional representative, Katherine Harris. She requested a full investigation that took several months. The report came back that there was no law to stop them from granting our request, they just wanted the money. -- Regards, Pete http://www.pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
