I have a similar system. Remove your battery and only insert it when you
absolutely need it (making sure to allow for a good 8 hours of
pre-charging). If your battery is worn out, then you might want to
consider purchasing a new one.

Also: There are power saver options in your control panel. If you choose
to maximize your power savings you can almost double your time running
off a battery ... if you can live with the tradeoffs.
