Thanks, Alan. I don't get a "Do you want to overwrite?" message when SAFETY is OFF but I do when it's ON. The reason I raised the question is that my system automatically backs up the data to a different location after the last user logs off. But it occurred to me that two users could log off nearly simultaneously, and therefore might start the automatic backup at essentially the same time. It takes long enough, and some files are big enough, that they could both be trying to copy the same file at the same time. I can't easily test that proposition, but I thought it might throw some kind of untrappable error.
