I just thought some History of the FAX Machine background would be of
interest when considering the "newer" features.  This technology has been
around since the 19th century in its earliest form!  I did not know that
until I saw an old, classic movie a few years ago where one of the
characters suggests using a "telephotography" machine to send a photo from
his location to his newspaper office for print.  I thought, "Hmm, I wonder
how long this FAX machine technology has been around, and how it evolved."
