I'd bet you're really regurgitating your experience with something you owned ages past. Things have changed. Times have changed. Even the Renault TDI 1.9 L TDI engine has changed. Since '99 and those lovely 'EU' emission standards, all diesel cars produced from that year forward to NOW for Europe market have LOST your beautiful moniker of 'too noisy and rough for cars'.
