Yeah, only the databases will be centralized on the server. On the
desktops they're using XP, Excel and Word, but the majority of people
can easily move to OpenOffice. Perhaps some guys will have to stay
with MS Office for one reason or another.

They're using their ISP for e-mail.

They need to have some sort of a VPN for easy access to technical data
from different project sites.

Dell Brazil offers Red Hat as a pre-installed option, but I think I'll
step up (for the time being) and learn Ubuntu or Fedora... Last time I
used Linux somewhat seriously was in 2000!
