Heya Andrew -

1. MS has been really successful in marketing the SBS 'package' to small
business. I've had to do bottleneck audits on 50+ clients the last 18 or
so months. Others have mentioned AV stuff, but - the 'sweet spot' for 'all
to run' is 4 gig o memory, ime. If this is a SBS instance for your client,
suggest that they bump it up to 4 gig o ram.

2. You really didn't say in your first post exactly what versions of
'what' server component was being used. Bad Andrew - you know better than
that.
FWIW, there are different configuration management issues across the
different versions o SQL Server and Windows 'Server' products - the
'matrix' of what SQL server on which version o Windows 'Server' will make
yer head spin. I get some concept or sense that yer on the way to getting
it 'solved', but if you post again? Do, please, be really specific as to
versions, SP's, other software running on the 'server', etc etc. If you
can't perform the audit in real time (even remotely) to ascertain those
'versions' , then at least ASK the CLIENT for it.

Warmest Regards [Bill]
