well, it's a view.

Views are supposed to (mostly) read only.
BUT - you are appending INTO a view, and you gotta do some extra
work to update the backend table.

MB mentioned tableupdate() - that one should be useful for you.

I suggest you study the codebase up at

and
http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~VfpViews~VFP

to get a better handle on making your views UPDATEABLE both for 'change'
and 'insert' .

As is - please provide the sql code for your two views ?
1.  open up the view designer in the dbc, with one of the views
2.  right click in the top, select 'show sql'
3.  copy that code, paste it back in an email here.

THEN maybe we can dissect whats going on with yer views.
Also - what buffering mode are you setting ?
