Anthony Testi (who used to frequent here a lot but has been MIA for some 
time now) had developed such a tool for VFP, written in VFP too, iirc.  
It's called FoxLint and was written circa 2003.  Check it out on Ed's

And btw, why is it that many tech geeks (like the guy in the article you 
posted) never take a good professional picture or seem to avoid it?  Do 
we abhor anything that looks professional in terms of human appearance?  
Someone had made the same crack to me when they saw the pictures of the 
speakers at a conference web page.  Mark Miller's picture makes him look 
like a glorified hack rather than a professional developer.  That's not 
meant to be a criticism but just merely an observation.  He's probably a 
very good developer.  (Or perhaps, that's the mark of a good 
developer...a disheveled appeareance?!?!??!!)   <g>
