Not at all. "Global Warming" means the average temperature of the entire
planet not that every spot is warmed by the same amount. Scientists have the
necessary equipment and formulae to calculate this value.

My last note on the Gulf stream gives you one real example of how the 
warming of the ocean can actually make UK cooler. Water and air are in 
constant motion all over the planet trying to bring temperatures to some 
steady state which never happens. Why would you expect every point on the 
earth to warm up equally?
