        If that were the case, and the amounts are equal, then there is no  
global warming or cooling.

        "Global warming" refers to the rise in average temperature as  
measured by both ground and satellite systems. The rise in the  
average means that even though some places may be cooler, the total  
increase in the warmer areas has been consistently greater.

        Again, this is pretty basic science and math. Those who have an  
agenda choose to pick and choose local events in order to promote  
their agenda, but that, of course, is not science.
