Or 5 PCs with 300- watt power supplies. Yup. A watt's a watt. Sun's CEO was writing in his blog recently about the limitations their biggest customers were having with their datacenters, and that the problem could be seen from 1000 feet above the data center building. Air conditioning. The roofs were full. There was no more room to add airconditioning to disperse all the heat. So, low-power CPUs and better power management can lead to more processing per watt. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
