Sure, blame the USER.....

I was going to try to get it all done Friday, but I had to go in for an
MRI, and so migrating the rest of the box will probably take a couple
more days. Right after I redo the hw.com website, you know. Four apps
and a service still go move.

Let's skip this one for the time being. I'm trying to stay away from
samba...... The XP box can _see_ the ancyent old server and its shares,
it's just not allowed to access them.

Done. Rebooted. Explorer shows nothing under the Microsoft Networks now
(used to show both NT4 servers.) But read on....

Well, sorta. I can access shares on the PDC, although I'm still logging
into the XP box as a local user. I tried connecting the XP box to the
PDC domain, and got the same kind of "currently mapped..." stuff.
(Several messages, not important right now.)

OK, after waiting a minute or two, both servers show up under the
Microsoft Network node in My Network Places. And.... now I can right
click on one of the here-to-fore 'no access' shares, and connect and map
a drive. Musta been that Simple Sharing thing.

Now.... I really DO need to accelerate the move off these old boxes. But
what am I going to do with a couple of 36 GB PII servers from 1998?
Don't think they quite have the horsepower for a 2 TB Myth TV setup. :)

Mucho gracias....

Time to go out and destroy my Achilles a little more, so that when I see
the surgeon, he'll have LOTS to do. Want to make sure I'm getting
money's worth when he cuts them open.
