Not sure where the Home Depot is that you are referring about as the closes one
to me, in Rochester NY, charge 6.50 for just one bulb, which is a steep price.
At Lowes, I have found the same bulb for 5 dollars for one, or 10 for two, which
is a better price.

The compact florescent bulbs from about 10 years ago
didn't seem to last as long as was claimed.  Today
they do seem to last and last.  They will get dimmer
and dimmer, however.


We put the small curly ones in our ceiling fans and
they don't look that bad.
