... Barb IS cuter; smarter too :) I've made partial progress... I can use the Sharepoint Designer toolset to successfully connect to the VFP .dbc w/o errors now, and can run a SQL select on it and see the data! The downside is that Sharepoint ( which really, really really wants to run all data from a MSSQL server ) itself doesn't want to open the file when you go to run it live. I've got feelers out there to see what could be holding it up, but MS employee blogs are pointing out there are some issues and bugs with the type of data reading I'm doing that they're working on but haven't fixed yet. So in the mean time I've just got done loading up SQL server 2K5 and am going to see about automating the import of the dbc file to it so I can continue development in the meantime. I still like the VFP reports -> HTML -> sharepoint approach, and it works great, but hey! Why not try it another way too? As far as the tranquilizer goes, I prefer my bourbon and diet coke over ice. :)

You ought to be grateful she hangs out with you <g>... (cheap shot, but I had to take it...) Hey, good point re: your daughter seeing you as a "wallet with feet", very good. I wish I had thought of that when my kids were in there teen years. Seems so appropriate. Have you been able to resolve the VFP database/table connectivity issue you had been hitting the other day? If so, what did you find out? For ProFoxers, David Smith has been using M$ Sharepoint (MSDN/ISV subscription) to try to hit a series of tables with data I have snapped off from his 3 dealerships' ADP in-house Linux based PICK database Server. The objective is to produce easily distributable reports to End Users via local and remote browsers, and PDA/Phone interfaces. Now that he has all this data at his fingertips he has become more childlike and uncontrollable in all mannerisms. He is way mucho out of control. Quick, somebody get me a tranquilizer gun! And double the dose! We have a Mega-Data-Maniac running loose in Rochester, NY! Seriously, friends, you ought to see what he has been able to tease out from the VFP tables thus far. Scary, very scary.
