I know that hindsight is great, but here is an example of Dick Cheney explaining back in 1994 that invading Iraq and removing Saddam without the cooperation of its Arab neighbors would lead to a quagmire. This is almost word-for-word what those of us who opposed the invasion and continuing occupation have been saying all along.
